La La La Human Steps: Exaucé/Salt
Continuing the exploration of La La La’s back catalogue, we leave the Louise years with 1998′s Exaucé/Salt. One thing that La La La/Lock have been particularly strong on is commissioning contemporary musical talent to write scores, and fusing movement and music perfectly. The score of this is by David Lang, with some lyrics by Lou Reed (alas, not in this bit.)
Something to look forward to for next week’s performance of New Work is that the score (by Gavin Bryars) is performed live by a quartet–making the performance more “in the moment”? Can’t wait to find out.
