The Friday Round Up

How was your week? Ours was great! Watch for the DanceHouse House Party report, coming soon.

In the meantime, holy Hannah there’s a lot of great dance this week.

Want to learn  to tango? Workshops all weekend at Russian Hall with tanguera Gabriela Rojo, plus a gala performance by Guillermo Salvat and Silvia Grynt. More info at bctango.com.

New Works presents the next installment of its Dance Allsorts series at the Roundhouse on October 17 (Sunday), 4pm, with MaObong Oku, founder of the Kokoma African Heritage Ensemble. Additional pay-what-you-can performance at 2pm.

Co.ERASGA’s Shadow Machine presents an interdisciplinary production with dance, video, audio, photography and interactive technology. It’s at Storyeum (might we add how delightful it is that this building is actually being used for something?), October 20-30. More info here.

Vessel, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre’s first full-length quintet, is Oct 20-23 at the Roundhouse. They are running a nifty Facebook ticket promo for selected shows. Read all about here and get your tix before the day is done.
