The Friday Round Up

Lots of great dance this weekend, and beyond. Go! Go! Go!

Thrill the World happens on Saturday at the Roundhouse. What is this? Well. Dress up like a zombie, dance the dance from Thriller with eleventy billion of your closest zombie friends, and raise money for the Food Bank. Want to dance? You can take a crash course earlier in the day; if you already know the steps, arrive to register at 1:30pm. Cost is $10 for the food bank. Vancouver Film School is doing zombie makeup for the donation of 2 non-perishable food items. If you just want to watch the mayhem, the dance takes place at 4pm.

Vessel, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre’s first full-length quintet, is tonight and tomorrow (Oct 22 & 23) at the Roundhouse. Read what Janet Smith of the Straight had to say here.

Co.ERASGA’s Shadow Machine is an interdisciplinary production with dance, video, audio, photography and interactive technology. It’s at Storyeum until 30. More info here. This just in: Saturday the 23rd is sold out!

And for the trad among you, Goh Ballet’s youth company presents a mixed program that includes bits of The Nutcracker on October 28 at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.
