Linky Post

Lots on the go, so here’s a roundup of the internet as it pertains to DanceHouse for you:

Before O Vertigo gets here, they premiered Onde de choc in Montreal. Busy busy! Here’s a review of that from Ballet Magazine with some interesting thoughts about how Laurin’s works link together. (ALSO. A hint for DanceHouse’s 11/12 season. That’s all I’m going to say.)

The show was also the Montreal Gazette’s weekend pick.

Here’s a preview from the Guardian UK’s Sanjoy Roy about Passare, a different work, but it’s very articulate around Laurin’s greater vision and philsophy of dance.

The winner of our raffle from February is going to Portland to see Barak Marshall’s new piece. Lucky thing. Here’s a preview from the LA Times.

Our pals at Ballet BC are the video of the day on ArtsJournal.com, for their tutu giveaway this fall. I am still desolate that I did not get a tutu. Not that they would have fit, but still…

Hope you’re making plans to attend O Vertigo May 6 & 7 at the Playhouse. If you’re on the fence, why not come to Speaking of Dance and learn more? April 26, 7pm, free as a bird.
