The Friday Round Up

First up in this oh-so-eclectic week of dance events  Dancehouse presents Wayne McGregor|Random Dance. Don’t know if you have been keeping up with the blogs about this weird and wonderful choreographer, part scientist part dancer, but this will be an evening to remember! Entity takes McGregor’s exploration of its dancers’ physical capabilities to an extreme and refreshing frontier. And if that does not get you there, read this : “A great sexy beast of a piece—it’s like being licked by a panther’s juicy, rasping tongue while you’re revising maths”—The Sunday Times (London). Come see it tonight and tomorrow night at the Vancouver Playhouse, 8pm Tixs at Ticketmaster  Photograph: Tristram Kenton

  1. We saw “New Animal” and we’re astounded by the athleticism, grace and tight synchronization. We were drawn to attend after being mesmerized by David Raymond’s performance in “Me So You So Me.” “Dances for a Small Stage” was also very entertaining and a lot of fun. This blog is a great way to learn of upcoming performances. Thank you!
