May 29 – June 3 (various times) kicking off Part 1 of their 9th season of All Over the Map, New Works presents two shows at Granville Island in collaboration with the Children’s Festival.  Rupinder Sidhu – Rup-Loops: A Musical Orbit is an interactive show using instruments from around the world, and will include a special dance guest (even we don’t know who it is!)  And Joe Ink -The Move it Show! where you can shake a leg, get down and funky with the Move it Show! dancers, who will be your guide to literally step into a live performance as featured guest artists. June 1, Here be Dragons – an Open Showing by choreographer Henry Daniel can be seen at SFU Woodwards.  Posed is the question: How can embodied personal and collective memories be shaped into new ‘architectures’ of identity and belonging in the form of innovative performance works that speak to wider sections of society? Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, SFU Woodwards, Studio T (Rm. 2210) 8pm. Info
