The Friday Round Up

Happy New Year! We are excited to join with you in 2016 in the celebration of all the dance happening here in Vancouver and it’s surrounds! However, the year appears to be starting off slowly with regards to dance, perhaps to give us some time to recover after the holidays!

Mirror_Grad_Dance_photography_2015_-100editedTomorrow night, Friday January 8, witness a moving contemporary dance piece inspired by Sandy Glum’s cancer blog, “Damned Near Killed him” (find the book here). This Thin Place was first produced as a four-person performance in March of 2015, and tomorrow Sarah Robinson and Kezia Rosen are sharing this story in a 25-minute duet. At the Beaumont Studios, 316 W 5th Ave, Vancouver. $10 suggested donation, cash only. 8pm. Photo Trendi Creative

That is it for this week, but lot’s more coming up in the upcoming weeks and months – PuSh Festival, Vancouver International Dance Festival, Dance Allsorts, and much more! And remember, if you have something dance related that you would like us to announce in The Friday Round Up, please send it along to debgordon03@gmail.com. Thanks!
